This Privacy Policy explains how Home Decor AI (“Home Decor AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit homedecor.ioand use our interior design products and services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We designed this policy to be readable. If anything is unclear, contact us at contact@homedecor.io and we will explain.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information you provide to us

  • Account information.When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored only in hashed form). If you sign in with Google, see “Signing in with Google” below.
  • Images you upload. To generate designs, you upload photographs of rooms, spaces, or other subjects. These images, and the AI-generated results derived from them, are processed and stored as part of providing the Service.
  • Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, our third-party payment processor collects your billing details and payment card information. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
  • Communications. When you contact us for support or otherwise, we keep the content of your messages and our replies.

Information from Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares a limited set of profile information with us based on the permissions you grant. This typically includes your name, email address, language preference, and profile picture, along with a unique Google account identifier used to authenticate you. We do not receive your Google password. See the dedicated section below for how we use this data.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data. Pages viewed, features used, actions taken, and timestamps.
  • Device and log data. IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referring pages.
  • Cookies and similar technologies.Used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. See “Cookies and Tracking” below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Authenticate you, create and secure your account, and keep you signed in.
  • Process your uploaded images and generate AI interior design results.
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing receipts.
  • Respond to your requests, provide customer support, and send service-related notices.
  • Monitor, debug, and improve the Service, including model quality and performance.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Signing in with Google

When you sign in with Google, we access your basic Google profile information (such as name, email address, and profile picture) solely to create and authenticate your Home Decor AI account and to identify you within the Service.

Home Decor AI’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We use Google user data only to provide and improve the sign-in and account features you request.
  • We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide or improve the Service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to you.
  • We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless we have your consent for specific messages, it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

You can revoke Home Decor AI’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting and application infrastructure, database and authentication backends, AI model and image-processing providers, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. These providers may access your information only to perform tasks for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Home Decor AI, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
  • With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.

5. AI Processing of Your Images

The images you upload are transmitted to AI model providers that we use to generate design results. We do not use your uploaded images or generated results to train third-party foundation models unless you have given us explicit permission. We may use aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you to evaluate and improve the quality of the Service. You are responsible for having the rights necessary to upload any image you submit, as described in our Terms.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We keep uploaded images and generated results so that you can access your design history, and we remove them when you delete them or close your account, subject to reasonable backup and legal-retention periods. We may retain certain information where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please help keep your account safe by using a strong, unique password and keeping your credentials confidential.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request a portable copy of your information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can update your account information at any time from your account settings, and you can delete your account to remove your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@homedecor.io. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and measure how it is used. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling certain cookies may affect your ability to sign in or use some features.

10. International Data Transfers

We operate globally, and your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
